Poll Everywhere replaces expensive proprietary audience response hardware with standard web technology. It's the easiest way to gather live responses in any venue: conferences, presentations, classrooms, radio, tv, print — anywhere. And because it works internationally with texting, web, or Twitter, its simplicity and flexibility are earning rave reviews.

With a free account, you can poll up to 25 individuals for each multiple-choice question or open-ended question.

Classroom Implications
Teachers can use both multiple choice and/or open-ended poll questions to solicit immediate formative feedback from students. Poll Everywhere can be used as a pre-assessment, review, bell-ringer, transition activity, or in a variety of other ways to assess student understanding. Because the data collected in Poll Everywhere is anonymous, Poll Everywhere provides a low-risk opportunity for students to share their questions, ideas, and thoughts.

Teachers can use the data collected through Poll Everywhere to make minute-to-minute adjustments to instruction that can ensure students have every opportunity to master standards and gain an understanding of concepts and content imperative to mastery.

Polls can be embedded directly into wikis and webpages for easy access. Students can use phones, computers, and tablets to access polls.

Administrative Implications
Administrators can use Poll Everywhere in much the same way as teachers can. They can gauge staff knowledge and interest. They can poll staff before, during, and after professional development, staff meetings, PLCs, etc.

Administrators can also use Poll Everywhere to engage and poll parents and other stakeholders.
