Classroom Implications
Timelines allow students to personalize history and make it relevant to them. Constructing timelines allows students to make decisions and encourage dialogue about historical work. Dipity can be used to track events occurring in a novel students are reading or use the map feature to plot battles during a war. Students can also work collaboratively to develop a timeline or search through the topics already available. Events can be displayed as a timeline, flipbook, list, or map.
